The Classical Stock Seat School of Arizona

The Classical Stock Seat School of Arizona, a non-profit riding school (Tax ID #20-0140244), focuses on the time proven classical riding principles promoting efficient and lateral training techniques of the horse and sound ethics in our riding instructors’ program. Following the principles of humane classical horsemanship and lateral-control system of the late Monte Foreman, our riding school is aimed at training quality equine riding instructors, trainers, and amateur riders of all levels.

Nestled between the Chiricahua mountains and Cochise's Stronghold in southeastern Arizona, sits the Classical Stock Seat School of Arizona. Over the years we have maintained the Foreman-McLoughlin system of humane horse handling - offering the equine world a quality choice.

 

We strive to educate riders interested in becoming professional equine instructors and to produce trainers of the highest quality that can teach our basic handle system. The purpose of The School is to prepare individuals to be competent, versatile, honest and progressive professionals in the horse industry.  In the fields of training instructors and horses, we teach the professional and amateur to ride and handle horses more efficiently, with an emphasis on stable management and horse care. The School works with riders of all levels who are interested in reaching their best riding potential by offering programs of varying lengths at C.S.S.S.A, providing seminars, and demonstrating around the nation with performances at expositions.
